The interested reader may be wondering how in the heck the kid was able to pull that monsters shoulder clean apart before breaking its grip on his arms. Well, the scientists behind the gene modifications that created that monster put a lot of effort into making muscles capable of crushing just about anything into dust while also being capable of extreme endurance without tearing or losing force. On top of that, the skin on their hands has some properties in common with Earth amphibians or the extinct Creamy race, such that these monsters can climb nearly vertical glass walls. To put it simply, these things have a grip stronger than their joints. They weren’t really designed for self-preservation.
